T-shirt Guarantee Deadlines:
Participants registering on or before August 25, 2019 are GUARANTEED to receive an event t-shirt in the size that they request. After that date, all registrants will receive a shirt on a first come, first serve basis. We DO anticipate having enough shirts for all participants, but cannot guarantee that or that athletes will get the shirt size desired. Register early to guarantee a custom event shirt in your size.
Ramblin’ Rose events are sanctioned through USA Triathlon. You will be required to purchase a $15 one-day USAT license when you register if you are not a USAT annual member.

Parking: UPDATED MAP for 2019

You will NOT be able to leave until the event concludes. In the interest of the safety of the runners still on the course, there will be no exceptions made! Please travel via Statesville Rd to Verhoeff Dr to access the race site parking lot (orange route).
We are encouraging all Spectators and athletes to park in the Central Piedmont Community College parking lot.
Overflow parking is available at the Lake Norman Charter High School, located approximately 1 mile from the race site. Please travel via Old Statesville Rd (accessible from I-77 via Gilead Rd and Mt. Holly Huntersville Rd) to access the off-site parking (green route).

Swim Warm-up, Transition Close/Re-Open
The Pool will be open for warm-ups from 7:15am – 7:45am. The Transition area will close at 7:45am and re-open at 10:00am
SWIM START ORDER:
When you arrive at packet pick-up on race weekend, you will be asked to rate your swimming ability on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the strongest, using the [SWIM ABILITY CHART] as a guide. This swim ability will determine the starting order of the swim for race day participants.
PRE-RACE CLINIC: (please pick up packet prior to clinic)
Saturday, September 15, 2018 Starting at 3PM
There will be a transition clinic during Packet Pick (location to be announced at a later date) for participants of the Huntersville Ramblin’ Rose Triathlon. The clinic will include tips and information to help you become more comfortable with the layout and logistics of triathlon and how transition works. Time-saving strategies, gear (including apparel), and transition space layout will be addressed. A question and answer session will follow. No equipment is necessary.
Top 3: overall, masters, relays, age groups: 12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and 65-69. Top 1 age groups: 70-74, 75-79, 80 & over. Sorry, we do not ship awards.
FAQS AND GEAR LIST:
Relieve your anxiety about the unknowns associated with training for and participating in your first Ramblin’ Rose. Get the answers to your questions by referencing our [FAQ Sheet]. Also, eliminate the worries related to possibly forgetting something on race day by downloading the [Official Ramblin’ Rose Gear Checklist].
Races are held, rain or shine, unless Set Up Events determines that conditions are too dangerous. This will be based on a prudent decision made on race weekend or race day by Set Up Events and local law enforcement officials. If the race is canceled due to inclement weather there will be neither refunds nor transfers. This position is consistent with USA Triathlon recommendations and with the protocol of sharing the risks associated with the sport of triathlon. In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, Set Up Events reserves the right to alter, cancel or eliminate any/all portions of the race.
TRANSFER & REFUND POLICIES:
Race entries are non-transferable between events, years, and individuals. No exceptions will be made!
If you are unable to participate for any reason, you will be able to request a refund until exactly one month to the day prior to race day. Refund requests received after this deadline will not be processed for any reason. There is a $31 refund processing fee (roughly equivalent to 50% of the early registration fee) and all additional portions of your entry fee will be refunded back to your method of payment.
All refunds must be made through the registration provider (RunSignUp).
