Registration Deadlines:
Online registration closes at 7:30 AM on race day (Sunday, August 16th). On-site registration MAY be available during normal packet pick-up hours. Please review this event site for more details regarding on-site registration.

T-shirt Guarantee Deadlines:
Participants registering on or before July 17, 2020 are GUARANTEED to receive an event t-shirt in the size that they request.  After that date, all registrants will receive a shirt on a first come, first serve basis.  We DO anticipate having enough shirts for all participants, but cannot guarantee that or that athletes will get the shirt size desired.  Register early to guarantee a custom event shirt in your size.

USAT Requirement:
Ramblin’ Rose events are sanctioned through USA Triathlon. You will be required to purchase a $15 one-day USAT license when you register if you are not a USAT annual member.

Event Details:
An event detail document will be posted here approximately 30 days prior to race day.

Please note, all vehicles who park inside Salem College grounds will not be allowed to exit until all racers are off the course.  We will be working with the Credit Union across the street for parking as well.  This location is less than 100 yards from the transition area.

Pre-Race Wrenching:   TBD for 2020
Provided by the expert bike mechanics of Ken’s Bike Shop starting at 6:30 AM near the Transition Area.

When you arrive at packet pick-up on race weekend, you will be asked to rate your swimming ability on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the strongest, using the [SWIM ABILITY CHART] as a guide. This swim ability will determine the starting order of the swim for race day participants.


Top 3: overall, masters, relays, age groups: 12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & over. Sorry, we do not ship awards.

Relieve your anxiety about the unknowns associated with training for and participating in your first Ramblin’ Rose. Get the answers to your questions by referencing our [FAQ Sheet]. Also, eliminate the worries related to possibly forgetting something on race day by downloading the [Official Ramblin’ Rose Gear Checklist].


Races are held, rain or shine, unless Set Up Events determines that conditions are too dangerous. This will be based on a prudent decision made on race weekend or race day by Set Up Events and local law enforcement officials. If the race is canceled due to inclement weather there will be neither refunds nor transfers. This position is consistent with USA Triathlon recommendations and with the protocol of sharing the risks associated with the sport of triathlon. In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, Set Up Events reserves the right to alter, cancel or eliminate any/all portions of the race.


Race entries are non-transferable between events, years, and individuals. No exceptions will be made!

Refund Policy

Refunds will not be issued for any reason. You may defer your entry into the following year’s event for a deferral fee. You may also transfer into any future Ramblin’ Rose event in the same calendar year for a transfer fee.

All deferrals and transfers must be done within the RunSignUp platform.
