Greenville Triathlon – Course

The SWIM

The swim takes place in the 6-lane outdoor pool of 7th Inning Splash at Lakeside Park.  Swimmers will enter and exit the pool area through the fencing at the main entrance to the water park.  Volunteers will be standing at the swim exit to help point you towards the transition area.

The BIKE

Once you mount your bike outside of transition, you will take a right onto Piedmont Highway before a quick right onto Davis Road.  From there it is right hand turns onto Old Grove Road and Bracken Road before returning to Piedmont Highway.  The route is a mixture of rolling hills with a few hills that will remind you how strong you really are.  Police and volunteers will man all the turns to keep you safe and inspire you to give it a little more.

The RUN

The two-loop run course is the most spectator friendly route on the tour.  It starts and finishes adjacent to the transition area and spectators can see you pass by the finish line no fewer than 5 times before you make your final turn into the finish line chute.  The run course is completely closed to vehicular traffic and off any roadways so you will always feel safe while you give your full effort to reach the finish.  You’ll have a chance to grab a cool drink at both ends of the run course.

The FINISH

The finish takes place adjacent to the transition area and pool so spectators will abound and greet you with your much deserved accolades as you enter the chute and cross the finish line.
